Testimonials
Editorial Testimonial from J. Allan "Jeff" Danelek from "Dragon Soldiers":
I don't usually make a point of naming those who have helped make these books better, but in this case I feel a special word of acknowledgement is due to my good friend and occasional coauthor Chuck Davis, who was the first to point out the serious deficiencies in the earliest drafts of this work. It was his willingness to "tell it like it is" that sent me back to my computer to fill in the missing holes in a manuscript that sorely needed reworking and, in so doing, made it possible for me to craft a story that is now much better than my original idea. This doesn't happen very often, and rare indeed is the friend willing to take such a chance. As such, it is only right that I dedicate this third installment of the trilogy to Chuck, without whose honesty this would have remained only a mediocre story devoid of the sort of tension I think it has since inherited.

K.M. WEILAND, AUTHOR:
I am featured on K.M. Weiland's excellent Professional Resources Page here. Katie is a wonderful author and a great person to work with. Her website is here.
Here is what she says about my services:
Research and Fact-Checking
Chuck Davis: Despite our best efforts to research our novel’s subject matter, sometimes we just need to call in an expert. Chuck offers a wide range of services, including editing and proofreading, and I can personally recommend his research and fact-checking skills.
And here is more:
As a novelist who explores many different eras and subjects, I know the value of expert fact checking. After finishing a novel about barnstorming in the 1920s, I realized I needed the experienced knowledge of someone who could verify my own research and correct me where I strayed. Chuck provided me with stellar service, pointing out mistakes I never would have been able to identify on my own and guiding me to brainstorm even better plot ideas. I can heartily endorse his services for novelists in need of guidance or backup in researching and fact checking their work.
